Sebasco Harbor Resort is proud to introduce our Culinary Artistic Director, Christopher Pierce, who will again be leading the culinary team for the 2021 season – our 92nd! Chef Pierce, a seasoned chef specializing in enhanced local cuisine, joined us in 2020. He has extensive experience in several acclaimed restaurants across the country including work in Michelin star kitchens Alinea in Chicago (Chef Grant Achatz, 3 Michelin stars) and Café Boulud in New York City (Chef Daniel Boulud, 1 Michelin star). After 16 years of working with top restaurants around North America in places from Colorado to Quebec, Pierce came to Maine in 2016 and hasn’t looked back.
“Chef Pierce’s culinary talent, creativity and background are the driving force behind Sebasco’s newly reinvented menus at The Pilot House and The Ledges Pub & Patio,” stated Sebasco’s Managing Partner Michael Lynch. “Chris also has a depth of experience running large culinary operations. With all the unexpected twists and turns in 2020, Pierce brought a great energy and attitude to the culinary team, and it translated directly to the plate and our creative outdoor venues this year, delighting diners both locally and ‘from away.’ We are excited for our 2021 season with Chef Chris and team.”
Pierce commented, “After cooking in some of the best kitchens across the country, landing in Maine and working with some of the best seafood and farm harvest has been a remarkable career highlight. The Pilot House restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, and The Ledges Pub & Patio is the casual lunch and dinner spot for locals and visitors. Both restaurants have unparalleled water views overlooking Sebasco Harbor and Casco Bay – and are known for spectacular sunsets. Overseeing these two restaurants, a coffee shop, an ice cream parlor and all catering for weddings, business groups, special summer Resort events and more, Pierce proudly showcases his prowess for managing multiple venues and his passion for teaching, leadership, and working collaboratively with a culinary team.
