Please join Sebasco in congratulating our 2015 team members that were recognized at our end-of-season banquet for being the best of the best! All our team members are winners - but we do select a few each year that stand tall with service excellence!
Lighthouse Keeper Award
Melissa Morbillo is the recipient of this coveted award that is given to a staff member who demonstrates, on a consistent basis, the true meaning of hospitality to our guests and our Sebasco community, both within the resort and to the neighbors surrounding us. Mel comes to work everyday trying to do what she can do to make Sebasco better and sets an example that encourages others to do the same!
General Manager Award
Cat Hull, our Controller, won this award that is given to the team member that makes a positive impact on all departments. Cat is not your typical 'bean counter' as she is instrumental in the logistics of the food & beverage department, as well as bartending at weddings and other events. She is a great role model for all managers and colleagues.
Manager of the Year Award
Our Executive Chef, Isaac Aldrich, earned this award in his first year! Isaac brought incredible leadership to the food & beverage department and worked tirelessly to ensure that his product, and that of his team, was first-class and Pure Maine! We are fortunate to have him lead our culinary efforts!
Service Excellence Award
Congratulations to Kalib Moore, Guest Services, for winning our top service award. Always the first smile when you come to the property, and usually the last, Kalib exemplifies Pure Maine hospitality. A recent graduate with a degree in Education - our youth will be well-served having him teach them integrity and professionalism.
Sebasco Spirit Award
The King of the Quarterdeck, Ed Kelly is the essence of Sebasco! Ed is the outright leader of comment card mentions as the staff member that has made a difference in the guest experience. Ed is there every night playing with the kids, chatting with the parents, and of course, sneaking a peak at his beloved Red Sox on the big screen!
Team Player Award
Andy Kenny is the well-deserved winner of this award that could go to so many! Andy's work in the pro shop, gift shop and at times, the Patio Cafe were all first-class! We are fortunate to have Andy with us each summer (Math teacher at Morse High School) and weekends all season!
Rookie of the Year Award
Although not 'technically' a rookie, Melanie worked here when she was in high school and it motivated her to attend culinary school. She returned this year as our breakfast chef and assisted in other areas as well. Always pleasant, smiling and dependable - we look forward to next season with Melanie!
Unsung Hero Award
Given annually to the employee that 'flies under the radar', Jason Ross, Executive Sous Chef, was instrumental in assiting Isaac in the kitchen, and being the strong backbone of the department. Jason is long overdue for this award and we look forward to seeing him in 2015!
