Katie Berry and Brendan Bayer of Rochester, NY won the Pure Maine Wedding Giveaway! The physical therapist bride and graduate student groom will get married in 2009 at Sebasco Harbor Resort surrounded by up to 200 of their friends and family. Katie and Brendan won us over with their creativity and relevance to theme. Here’s their winning video in which they describe Katie’s childhood memories of lobstering with her grandfather on midcoast Maine, and spending time at the family cottage before they had to give it up.

What the Pure Maine Giveaway Includes
The Pure Maine Wedding Giveaway includes Sebasco Harbor Resort as the venue of a stunning destination wedding ceremony and reception for up to 200 guests. The giveaway also includes:
- Catering for the reception including wait staff service and wedding cake of the bride and groom’s choice (note: catering does not include alcohol)
- Overnight accommodations for the bride and groom for their wedding weekend
- Spa services for the bride and groom at our seaside Fairwinds Spa
- Golf for the wedding party
- Wedding coordinator services
- A sunset rehearsal celebration cruise aboard one of Maine’s longest running passenger boats.
The Pure Maine Wedding will take place in 2009.
What the giveaway does NOT include:
- accommodations for bridal party and guests
- travel to and from Sebasco Harbor Resort
- floral, music, other reception entertainment, photography or videography, party favors
- other services and products not mentioned in the above giveaway description
The Pure Maine Wedding Giveaway Official Rules:

1. To enter “The Pure Maine Wedding Giveaway”, contestants must submit a video essay of two minutes or less describing why they want to win a Pure Maine Wedding. The video should be submitted to Sebasco Harbor Resort, LLC via posting on YouTube with copy and contact information to puremainewedding@sebasco.com.
2. Entries will be judged on the following: creativity and relevance to theme. Entries that include offensive or abusive language will be disqualified. Entries may be submitted on or after February 14, 2008 and must be received no later than September 9, 2008. Limit one entry per couple. All entries become property of Sebasco Harbor Resort, LLC. Entry into The Pure Maine Wedding Giveaway constitutes consent to use entrant's video for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes, without further compensation, except where prohibited.
3. This Contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 21 years of age and older as of time of entry, except the owners, agents and employees of Sebasco Harbor Resort, LLC and members of their immediate families, and also except the owners, agents, and employees of Ethos Marketing and Design, DBA Results Marketing, and their immediate families.
4. Entries that are lost, late, illegible, incomplete, misdirected or incompletely received, will not be eligible.
5. The best entry from all eligible entries based on the above-referenced judging criteria, will be selected on or about October 31, 2008. Judging for the Contest will be performed by the management of Sebasco Harbor Resort and its marketing partner Ethos Marketing and Design DBA Results Marketing. LLC. Winner will be notified by telephone and/or by e-mail.
6. One (1) couple will be selected on or about October 31, 2008 from all eligible entrants. The winner will be awarded: A wedding reception at Sebasco Harbor Resort which will include: Venue for wedding ceremony and reception of 200 or fewer guests on a 2009 date to be mutually agreed upon, services of Sebasco’s wedding coordinator, catering including cake and wait staff service for wedding reception (excluding all alcoholic beverages), accommodations for bride and groom for wedding weekend (arrive Friday after 3:00 PM and check out Monday before 12 noon), sunset cruise for up to 24 people the night before the wedding, spa services for bride and groom the morning of wedding, and a golf tournament for up to 40 players (complimentary greens fees), scheduled and conducted by Sebasco Harbor Resort, LLC. Approximate retail value for this award is up to $25,000. Winner must accept prize in its entirety or prize will be forfeited and the entrant who submitted the next best entry will be selected as the winner.
7. A winner must comply with all instructions in the prize notification and winner's complete response must be received by Sponsor within 14 days from the date of the prize notification. If not, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. Winner may be asked to complete an affidavit and release.
8. No substitution or transfer of prizes will be allowed except by Sebasco Harbor Resort LLC.
9. By entering and/or accepting a prize, winner releases and agrees to defend and hold harmless Sebasco Harbor Resort LLC, their affiliates and subsidiary companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind, including death, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize or participation in this Contest. Acceptance of prize constitutes consent to use winner's name and likeness for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes, without further compensation, except where prohibited. Winner's name may be posted on Sebasco’s website and in e-mail newsletters and collateral material, all of which will be included in a signed release by the winner.
10. Liability for any applicable federal, state or other taxes will be the sole responsibility of the winner.
11. This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Maine. By entering, you agree to be bound by these rules and you give your express permission to be contacted by the Sebasco Harbor Resort, LLC by e-mail and/or mail.
How To Enter the Pure Maine Wedding Giveaway
Couples who plan to marry in 2009 and are interested in entering the Pure Maine Wedding Giveaway should submit their video essays for consideration. The video essays should be no longer than 2 minutes in length, and should feature the future bride and groom. On the video, they should explain in their own words who they are, how they met, and why they want to win a Pure Maine Wedding. Winners will be chosen based on entrants’ stories and their desire to experience Pure Maine. Videos should be submitted to Sebasco Harbor Resort via YouTube, at Pure Maine Wedding Giveaway.
Sebasco Harbor Resort will chronicle the contest entries, stories of the finalist couples, and select stages of planning The Pure Maine Wedding. Please check back on this site for details.
