Fishing
Whether your desire is to fish from our dock or arrange for a fishing charter, you will be pleased with the opportunities to catch “the big one” at Sebasco Harbor Resort. We are blessed with an outstanding fishing location due to our location on the New Meadows River and close proximity to the Kennebec River. Saltwater angling is the main focus in this area, with striped bass, bluefish and mackerel the primary targets. Thought to be the only natural spawning habitat for striped bass in New England, the local population is supplemented by migrating fish by mid-May. By early July bluefish enter the river and compete with stripers for juvenile herring and mackerel.
You may also experience the thrill of fishing from a fully outfitted kayak. Participants may choose to load the kayaks onto a “mother ship” or paddle directly to fishing hotspots. All tackle and instruction is included in these trips offered by Seaspray Kayaking.

A couple of guys with Maine twangs as thick as morning fog were yakking away, one of them sitting in a decrepit aluminum beach chair, surrounded by bins and tables crammed with bolts and parts and tools.
